[CPT-UK] April 19th - Prayerful Brainstorming

Christ is risen!  Christ is risen indeed!  Alleluia!

I don't come from a high church background, but the joy in this oft
repeated call and response still resonates deeply for me.  As Christians
though, how do we carry the tension of the joy of Christ resurrected and
the reality of the suffering still experienced by so many of God's
children day after day?  For many of us the answer has been activism,
but activism can be difficult to sustain in the face of structural
injustice that continues for decades.

In light of the need to empower action with reflection, CPT corps
members and CPT supporters will gather on April 19th to pray and
brainstorm together about how we can most effectively support the
movement for peace and justice in the Middle East here in Britain.  If
you have been feeling either particularly discouraged or especially
motivated in the wake of the 5th anniversary of the invasion of Iraq and
the newest wave of violence in Israel/Palestine, this forum will speak
to those struggles.

We will gather at 4:30pm on Saturday, April 19th at the London Mennonite
