Dear CPT friends,
Christy Bischoff, a CPTer in Bradford has put together a fourth option for
us that is potentially allows us to stay in the same place for the entire
time and may be cheaper as well:
Christy says:
I talked a little more to Chris today about the place. He says the dates
are definitely open and they have slept about 25 people there before, but
let me stress it would be sleeping on floors, just in different places in
the chapel and in the floor that also has Chris' house. i think though if
people needed a bed, we could maybe find some empty beds in someone's house
near by if it were just a couple of people.
The one complication would be that the cafe bit downstairs I mentioned, is
planning on doing work to remodel, and Chris is unsure of if that work would
be happening at that time. So that might limit the amount of space, but we
would still have the chapel area to meet. It might complicate cooking there
if it wasn't able to be used. However, I think we could get creative if
that were the case at the time in getting food.
Advantages:
All in one place
Accomodate late arrivals
We would be in lovely Bradford!
Disadvantages
Sleeping on floor
potential remodeling limiting space and cooking (but I think this could
still work out fine)
What do you think of this option? From feedback I've got so far, its either
this option (because its near Leeds and the Christianity and Anarchism
conference) or Scarborough.
Sincerely,
Tim
