[CPT-UK] Invitation to CPT Gathering 4-5 June in Bradford

Dear CPT UK friends,

After much delay, Christy Bischoff and I are happy to be able to send out
this invitation and proposed schedule for a Christian Peacemaker Teams UK
gathering in Bradford on the 4th and 5th of June, 2006. The schedule below
is still just a proposal, so please email us if you have any suggestions for
changes or corrections. We're looking for help in organising different
aspects of the weekend, so if you can help out, please let us know!

Invitation

CPT UK would like to invite you to a gathering on June 4-5. This will be the
first all UK gathering for CPT and a chance to share/learn more about CPT,
fellowship, explore nonviolence, worship, and vision the direction of CPT UK
together. We welcome anyone interested in CPT, and hope to see you there.

The gathering will be held at 'Just Church' in Bradford, England. There is
floor space for sleeping, and if needed there is a B&B 5-10 minute walk
away. Meals will be provided. A donation of £20 (£10 conc.) is requested for
use of the building and food. Please register by sending an email/post with
your details to Tim Nafziger at nafziger at gmail.com.

Sunday, 4th of June

11:30 am - Arrival and check in

12:00 - 1:00 Worship with Soul Space with Chris Howsan.  This worship
service will be focused on Peacemaking and will includes some CPT stories of
peacemaking from CPTers.

1:00 - 2:15 pm Lunch

2:30 - 4:00 pm Session 1
- CPT Question and Answer basics

4:00 - 4:30 pm Tea

4:30 - 6:00 pm Session 2
- Bible Study

6:00 - 7:15 pm Supper

7:30 - 9:30 pm Session 3
- Story time and sharing - Palestine, Iraq and Colombia
- Opening with 10 minutes on each
- followed by breakout groups for an hour of details on each

9:30 pm on - Social time

Monday, 5th of June

8:00 - 8:45 am Breakfast

9:00 - 10:30 am Session 4
- Worship and reflection on Tom Fox's legacy and the whole hostage situation
and affect on CPT UK folks and media coverage, etc.

11:00 am - 12:30 pm Session 5
- Practical Nonviolence with role plays
- How do we respond to situations of potential or actual violence?
- with different small groups doing role plays from different CPT projects

12:30 - 1:45 pm Lunch

- Visioning and brainstorming on what CPT UK and CPT in Europe wants to do
