[CPT-UK] No CPT meeting in March.

Dear CPT friends, 

 

There will be no CPT UK meeting in March. 

 

In the meantime, I 'd like to share with you the responses to David
Cockburn's talk at the Brixton Kiwanis Club meeting 2 weeks ago. As his 30
minutes was up, David said he would skip to the end of his presentation, and
people said "no, no, we want to hear what you have to say" so he went on. He
has been invited back to tell them of his experiences leading a delegation
to Israel in April "We'll fill this room" someone said. The club president
said "I've always been a sceptical Christian, but now I have to think about
that some more". Later he said to me "Jim, you've been keeping your light
under a bushel!" I asked what he meant and he said "I didn't know you
belonged to a fantastic organization like that!" The concept of "getting in
the way" of injustice through direct non-violent intervention was a new way
of thinking for them as for most people.
